Two people were shot dead by the police during a protest by youths who were unable to take the Employment Permit System (EPS) exam to go to Korea.

On Friday, two people were killed by police firing during a protest at Balkumari in Lalitpur. The official newspaper Gorkhapatra reported that the deceased were 23-year-old Sujan Rawat from Dailekh and 22-year-old Birendra Shah from Doti.
