One person was seriously injured when a gas cylinder used to inflate balloons exploded at Bells Model School in Garamani, Birtamod Municipality of Jhapa.

About 55 years old Indian citizen Ganesh Sahni was injured when a balloon exploded from a hydrogen gas cylinder for the decoration of the sports meet program organized by the school.

Jay Prasai, founder of the school, said that he was sent to B&C Hospital for treatment and his condition is serious.

It is reported that one student was slightly injured in the explosion.
