A wide-body aircraft of Nepal Airlines Corporation (Nepal Airlines) has been ‘grounded’ due to technical problems. As the plane was grounded, the passengers preparing to fly to Doha were stranded.
According to Ramesh Paudel, the spokesperson of the Corporation, the flight had to be stopped due to a problem with the flight control sensor of the widebody aircraft. The grounded aircraft is currently undergoing technical maintenance.
He said the stopped passengers will be sent to their destination through an alternative flight this evening.
“Passengers of the Doha flight were stopped due to technical problems on board last night. Passengers are scheduled to be taken to their destination by a flight at 7:45 pm today. Passengers have been given an airport time of 4:00 p.m.,” said spokesperson Paudel.
One of the corporation’s four international flight planes has been sent to Israel for maintenance.
