Nepal has won 7 medals including 5 gold in the 7th Asia Cup Open International Taekwondo Tournament. Seven players participated in the competition and all of them won medals. Nepal also won 1 silver and 1 bronze. The Nepalese team won 7 medals, 6 in Gyorogi and 1 in Pumsey.

Men senior under 80 kg Ranjit Dagoura, under 68 kg Kumar Lawat, and under 58 kg Praveenjung Khadka won gold. Sanyog Khadka won gold in men’s sub-junior under 23 kg and Susandhya Khadka in cadet women’s under 33 kg.

Raghunath Bhandari won silver in sub-junior men’s under 32 kg and Abhas Dev won bronze in U-12 singles poomsae at the tournament held in Goa, India from June 21 to 23.
