KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has announced that westerly winds are currently impacting the weather across Nepal, alongside some influence from local winds.

Currently, the weather in the hilly regions, including Lumbini and Madhesh provinces, is mostly clear to partly cloudy.

Light to moderate rainfall, with occasional thunder and lightning, is occurring in scattered areas of Madhesh, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to remain mostly clear to partly cloudy in the hilly areas, including Lumbini Province, with similar conditions in other parts of the country.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain, along with thunder and lightning, in isolated locations in the hilly regions, including Lumbini Province. Additionally, light snowfall may be observed in a few places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas.

Tonight, the weather forecast predicts that the hilly regions will continue to be partly cloudy to mostly clear.

Light rain with thunder and lightning could affect one or two areas in these regions.
