RAUTAHAT: Youth youths drowned in a local Lamaha rivulet of Garuda municipality-2 in Rautahat district on Friday.
Jitendra Saha, 18, and Rajiv Saha, 18, from Gedahi of the municipality drowned in the rivulet while taking both, according to Bikram Humagain, Superintendent of the Armed Police Force from Battalion No 11 of APF.
The Armed Police Force from Battalion No 11 had immediately mobilized the security persons to search for the missing ones. Although the drowned youths were rescued in the unconscious state by the security persons and rushed to nearby hospital, the doctors immediately declared them dead.
They were taken to Nepal Multi Specialty Hospital at Garuda but in vain, Humagain added.
Two youths drowned while swimming in a stream at Battar Suleraha in Bandipur Rural Municipality-2, Tanahun.
The District Police Office, Tanahun, said that 20-year-old youths Binod Gurung and Hira Gurung of Bandipur Rural Municipality-6 died in the incident.
Police Inspector Mohan Kumar Khadka said that the two youths, of the six swimmers there, submerged in the stream.
