POKHARA: The Kaski District Court has approved the extension of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane’s detention for an additional four days. Lamichhane was presented in court on Sunday by the Kaski District Police Office for further questioning related to his involvement in the Suryadarshan Cooperative fraud case.

In addition to the Suryadarshan case, Lamichhane has provided statements regarding his alleged involvement in frauds involving other cooperatives, including the Supreme Cooperative of Butwal, Swarnalaxmi Cooperative of Kathmandu, and Sahara Chitwan Cooperative in Chitwan.

Authorities are now preparing to transfer him to Parsa for investigation into his role in the Sano Paila Cooperative fraud. Former DIG Chhabilal Banjade Joshi is also in custody alongside Lamichhane.
