CPN-UML senior leader and former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Khanal’s personal secretary Krishna Bhattarai told RSS that leader Khanal tested positive for the coronavirus infection in a PCR test.

Meanwhile, he has been admitted to the Thapathali-based Norvic International Hospital for treatment.

Prior to this, he had been admitted to Manmohan Memorial Hospital after contracting the virus.
