KATHMANDU: Westerly winds are presently impacting the country, causing foggy conditions in several parts of the Tarai.
According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the country will experience mostly clear skies.
The Department has indicated that this weather pattern is expected to continue throughout the afternoon.
Tonight, the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces will also see partly to generally cloudy conditions.
Fog is expected to form in many areas of the Tarai on Saturday morning.
The Department has advised the public to remain cautious, as the fog may impact daily activities, health, transportation, and civil aviation.

Later in the evening, the weather will turn partly to mostly cloudy in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
The Department also warns that fog could affect many parts of the Terai and Kathmandu Valley on Friday morning.
It has advised the public to stay alert, as this could disrupt daily activities, health, transportation, and air travel.
