KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has seen a modest improvement. Today, the NEPSE index increased by 6.53 points to stand at 2,653.38.
According to NEPSE, 15.5 million 2,771 shares of 305 companies were bought and sold 72,120 times, generating a turnover of Rs 6.4 billion 7992,784.
In today’s trading, the development bank increased by 2.53 percent, finance by 4.77 percent, hydropower by 0.26 percent, life insurance by 0.40 percent, production and processing by 0.40 percent and microfinance by 1.59 percent. The sub-indices of all other groups decreased.
Banking is down 0.26 percent, hotels and tourism is down 0.00 percent, investment is down 0.38 percent, mutual funds are down 0.10 percent, non-life insurance is down 0.13 percent, trade is down 1.56 percent and other groups are down 0.26 percent.
The share price of Samriddhi Finance Company Limited has entered a positive circuit, while the share price of Community Microfinance Financial Institution Limited has entered a negative circuit. Today, the highest turnover of Rs. 225.349.597 was recorded by Nyadi Hydropower Limited.
