KATHMANDU: Senior Nepali Congress leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala has arrived in London. Koirala has arrived in London at the invitation of the UK’s Minister of State for Asia, Catherine West, and the Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce, Gareth Thomas.
Leader Koirala was welcomed by Nepali Congress cadres and well-wishers in the UK. Nepali Public Relations Committee UK Executive President Yubaraj Singh, Vice President Pravesh KC, former General Secretary and leader RK Tripathi, who is coordinating Koirala’s visit, Public Relations Committee UK President Yubaraj Gurung, leaders Bishwa Adarsh Pandit, Sher Sunar, Bijan Bhatta, Businessmen Rabindra Jung Lamichhane, David Gurung, Tarka Jung Gurung, Tsvi Lama and dozens of others were present to welcome Koirala.
Koirala is scheduled to address a special program to be held in a room of the British Parliament on the evening of January 13. The program is expected to be attended by the British Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce, British MPs and representatives of the Nepali community. Leader Koirala will meet British politicians and interact with the Nepali community and Congress workers in various cities during his week-long stay in the UK.
