KATHMANDU: The bail hearing for Rabi Lamichhane, Chairman of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), regarding the Swarnalakshmi Cooperative embezzlement case, is underway at the Kathmandu District Court.

Lamichhane had been released from judicial custody in Kaski on Thursday after posting a bail of Rs 6.5 million for his involvement in a separate embezzlement case related to the Suryadarshan Cooperative in Pokhara.

After his release, he voluntarily appeared at the Kathmandu District Court on Sunday to address the ongoing charges linked to the Swarnalakshmi Cooperative case.

However, as the hearing could not be completed on Sunday, he was remanded back into judicial custody for further proceedings.
