11 people have sustained injuries when a vehicle met with an accident at Dharampur, Shivasatakshi Municipality-1, Jhapa.
According to the Police, a passenger bus (Me 1 Kha 2545) en route from Kakarbhitta east to west Dharan met an accident at Dharampur at 6:30 am on Wednesday morning injuring 11 passengers.
The passenger bus of the civil transport overturned after being out of control and veered off down the road.
According to District Police Office Jhapa, 54-year-old Guna Koirala, Deepa Niraula, aged 34, Mary Niraula, aged 17, Nirmala Niraula, aged 38, 59-year-old Sharmila Koirala of Biratnagar 3 were injured in the accident.
Similarly, 32-year-old Tanka Siwakoti, 30-year-old Ansa Fiyaden, 21-year-old Sumana Limbu of Shivasatakshi-8 of Jhapa as well as 51-year-old Pushpa Lal Adhikari 49-year-old Chandrakala Adhikari of Birtamod Municipality-6, and 40-year-old Shantiram Khatiwada of Kamal Rural Municipality-6 sustained injuries.
The condition of all the injured is normal and they are being treated at B & C Hospital and Research Center Pvt. Ltd.
According to Arjun Prasad Sodari, an information officer at the district traffic police office, the 54-year-old bus driver Tika Meche, resident Dhulabari, Mechinagar-10, has been detained by the Area Police Station Jhiljhile.
