NRB to withdraw liquidity of Rs 40 billion from banking system

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is set to draw liquidity due to excess liquidity in the banking system.

NRB is set to draw liquidity worth Rs 40 billion on Wednesday for 21 days through the deposit collection instrument auction.

The bank has been continuously withdrawing liquidity since the beginning of the current fiscal year due to excess liquidity in the banking system.The interest rate of the deposit collection instrument will be determined through the auction.
