NEPSE drops by 7.33 points to settle at 2,588.62

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index today dropped by 7.33 points to 2,588.62 points.

According to NEPSE, 11,749,701 shares of 296 companies were bought and sold 70,634 times, resulting in a transaction worth Rs 5.93 billion 3.711 billion.

Out of the 13 sub-groups traded today, the indices of hydropower, production and processing, mutual funds, trade and five others increased, while the remaining sub-groups decreased.

The share prices of Bottlers Nepal Limited, Win Nepal Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited and Mandakini Hydropower have entered a positive circuit by increasing by 10 percent. In today’s trading, the share price of Upper Hewakhola Hydropower has increased by 9.99 percent and People’s Power Limited by 6.65 percent.

Similarly, Pokhara Finance fell by 10 percent, entering a negative circuit, while Janaki Finance fell by 9.39 percent, Khanikhola Hydropower by 9.15 percent, and Reliance Finance by 7.57 percent.

In terms of transaction amount, Sindhu Bikas Bank recorded the highest turnover today, worth Rs 285.7 million.
