SURKHET: Dozens of multi-year projects of the Karnali province government have been stalled due to the negligence of the contractor companies. According to the ministry, seven projects in Surkhet, five in Dailekh and five in Jajarkot, four in Kalikot and four in Mugu are in limbo.

Similarly, information officer and senior engineer of the Ministry Praveen Karki informed that two multi-year plans in Salyan and Rukum West are stalled due to negligence of the contractor. According to him, one project each in Jumla and Dolpa is in a standstill. In the list, it has been found that the construction company of the incumbent MP is also involved in stalling the work of the MP’s company.

Kanchharam Construction, which was entrusted with the construction of 13 roads in the province headquarters Birendranagar, left the road construction work in a sheer negligence without doing any work.
