NEPSE index increases by 24 points today

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has increased. Today, NEPSE increased by 24.50 points to stand at 2,657.77.

According to NEPSE, 19,680,195 shares of 325 companies were bought and sold 95,097 times, resulting in a transaction worth Rs. 9,400,267,833.

In today’s trading, all the sub-indices of the group were seen in the green. The development bank group increased the most by 4.07 percent. Banking increased by 0.22, finance by 1.88, hotels and tourism by 0.68, hydropower by 1.49 and investment group by 1 percent. Similarly, life insurance increased by 0.08, production and processing by 1.23, microfinance by 0.48, mutual fund by 0.12, non-life insurance by 0.28, trade by 0.24 and other groups by 1.74 percent.

The share prices of four companies have entered a positive circuit. The share prices of Upkar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, Sikles Hydropower Limited, Threestar Hydropower Limited and Janaki Finance Company Limited have increased by 10 percent. The share price of Dolti Power Company Limited has decreased by 8.43 percent.

In terms of transaction amount, the highest number of shares worth Rs 382.132,187 of Saptakoshi Development Bank Limited has been bought and sold today. In terms of the number of shares traded, the highest number of shares worth Rs 1 million 3 thousand 300 of NIC Asia Growth Fund-2 have been bought and sold.
