Police in Morang district on Thursday afternoon arrested a man in possession of an improvised pistol, two rounds of bullets, two 100ml bottles of Scaffold, 600 tablets of Nitravet, and one knife from Bishwokarma Tole in Sunbarshi Municipality-8.

The arrested has been identified as Abbas Miya, a 60-year-old resident of the same municipality in Morang district.

Acting on a tip-off, joint security personnel deployed from Belbari and Rangeli-based Area Police Office nabbed him with the substances and weapon while searching his house.

Further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
