The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Sunday reported 105 new cases of coronavirus in Nepal. The addition of new cases has taken the country’s COVID-19 tally to 270,959.
Of the newly infected, 41 are females while 64 are males.
Likewise, the three districts of Kathmandu valley have registered 68 cases of coronavirus — 60 in Kathmandu and six in Lalitpur and two in Bhaktapur— in the past 24 hours. Of the newly infected, 28 are reported to be females and 40 are males.
In the past 24 hours, 288 people diagnosed with the infection have recovered as per the data shared by MoHP. Altogether, 266,336 individuals have recovered from COVID-19 as of Sunday.
Currently, the country has 2,594 active cases with a 98.3 per cent recovery rate.
Two persons have succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, the MoHP shared. With this, the nationwide death toll from the disease has reached 2,029.
