The CPN (Maoist Centre) has decided to take action local level representatives who quit the party and joined CPN UML. At present though the CPN (Maoist Centre) has initiated action against elected representatives of the Federal Parliament and National Assemblies who deserted the party it had not taken action against the local representatives who had left the party.

The emergency meeting of the Central Working Committee of the party that will take place today will take a decision on that regard. Though CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda) has already written to the Election Commission providing details of the ward chairpersons, mayors and deputy mayors who have quit the party the positions have still not been made vacant.

The meeting today will decide on what legal options could be adopted to initiate action against such local representatives and make their positions vacant.
