Mathematics made compulsory in grade XI, XII

Mathematics subject has been made compulsory in secondary level curriculum.

A meeting of National Curriculum Development and Evaluation Council chaired by Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha decided to make mathematics compulsory in Grade Xi and XII.

With this, students will now be able to choose Social Studies and Life skills Learning Education or Mathematics in Grade 11 and 12.

Huge disappointments and objections were surfaced in the academia after mathematics was placed in the fourth group in the latest curriculum making it optional for students.
