Police arrested a youth on charge of raping a 16-year-old teen from Krishnapur Municipality-4 in Kanchanpur district on Wednesday morning.

The accused has been identified as Chunnu Ram Chaudhary (25), a local resident of Belkande in the same municipality.

Acting on a tip-off, security personnel deployed from the Gulariya-based Area Police Office nabbed Chaudhary.

Further investigation is being carried out, said the police.
