Police arrested a youth on charge of betting in the ongoing Euro Cup and Copa America-2020 games from Pokhara.
The name of the 18-year-old youth, a resident of Tal Chowk in Pokhara Metropolitan-27 has not been disclosed.
The youth was allegedly betting by using online social media platforms like WhatsApp and Viber. Acting on a tip-off, the Kaski-based District Police Office (DPO) nabbed the youth from a hotel in Lakeside.
The youth has been charged with offences against security facilities and immoral ethics and further investigation into the case is underway, informed DPO, Kaski.
