Police apprehended three youths in possession of 40 kg of marijuana from Ishworpur Municipality-12 in Sarlahi on Wednesday afternoon.

One of the arrested has been identified as Sangi Lama (24), a local resident of Lalbandi Municipality-11 while the names of the other two have not been revealed.

They were riding on a motorcycle with registration number NA 63 PA 677 and heading towards Banke from Lalbandi. Security personnel from the Keshargunj-based Area Police Office nabbed them with the substance during a routine vehicle check. The bag containing the cannabis was found tied to the side of the motorcycle.

Further investigation into the case is being conducted, informed the police.
