Police arrested a man with controlled pharmaceutical drugs from Chandragiri Municipality-2 in Kathmandu district on Monday morning.

The arrested has been identified as Rajesh Baral (33) of Budhanilkantha Municipality-9. He had 23 ampules of diazepam, nurfin, and phenergan in his possession.

The accused was travelling in a bus with vehicle registration number GA 1 KHA 7361 which was heading towards Kathmandu from Sarlahi. Nagdhunga-based Metropolitan Police Division nabbed Baral with the substance during a routine vehicle check. He had been hiding the drugs in his bag.

Further investigation into the case is being carried out, said the police.
