The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) on Sunday reported 119 new cases of coronavirus infection in Nepal. The addition of new cases has taken the country’s COVID-19 tally to 271,925.
Of the newly infected, 36 are females while 83 are males.
Likewise, the three districts of Kathmandu valley have registered 55 new cases of coronavirus — 43 in Kathmandu, eight in Lalitpur, and four in Bhaktapur — in the past 24 hours
In the past 24 hours, 260 people diagnosed with the infection have recovered as per the data shared by the MoHP. Altogether, 268,072 individuals have recovered from the COVID-19 as of Sunday.
Currently, the country has 1,815 active cases of coronavirus with 98.6 per cent recovery rate. The nationwide death toll from the disease has reached 2,038 with the death of three more persons in the last 24 hours, the MoHP shared.
More than 105.89 million people have been reported to be infected by novel coronavirus while at least 2,310,818 people have died from the respiratory contagion worldwide, a Reuters tally showed.
