CPN (UML) Standing Committee meeting is scheduled to be held on Tuesday. Leaders from the moderate side will also be present at the meeting.
Though senior leader Madhav Kumar was openly in favor of Nepal in the past, it has been agreed to make the party dynamic by holding a meeting of the standing committee during a meeting between UML leader Dr Bhim Rawal and leaders and chairman KP Sharma Oli today.
It is said that an understanding has been reached between them to move forward as per the 10-point agreement reached on July 10. UML Central Office Secretary Sher Bahadur Tamang informed that a meeting will be held at Tulsilal Memorial Building in Chasal on Tuesday at 11 am.
The Standing Committee meeting of CPN UML has been scheduled for Tuesday. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also the chairperson of the party, has called for the meeting at 5 pm tomorrow.
The meeting will be held at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.
The 10-member taskforce that had been formed to end the conflict within the party and forge unity between the factions led by PM Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal had framed a 10-point agreement on Sunday. The Standing Committee meeting has been called to endorse the agreement.
However, Nepal is not satisfied with the agreement and the Standing Committee meeting of the Nepal faction will be held virtually today to hold discussions on the agreement.
