Police on Saturday have arrested a youth on charge of raping a 44-year-old woman in Tanahun district.

The name of the 17-year-old youth of Pauwa in Bandipur Rural Municipality-2 has not been identified.

After knowing that the youth had raped the woman, a team of the Bandipur-based Area Police Office apprehended the accused.

Further investigation into the case is underway, said the police.
