Cricket match between Nepalese and Indian team in Biratnagar

The ‘Mills Cup Cricket’ tournament involving teams of Nepal and India is scheduled to start on March 6 in Biratnagar to decrease the deteriorating condition of cricket in the state and attract the youth.

The tournament, organized by Mills Cricket Club and Academy, will feature 16 teams from Nepal and India at the Biratnagar Jute Mill Cricket Ground. Academy President Murari Chaudhary said that Katihar Cricket Club, India, Jogbani Cricket Club India, Bhairahawa Cricket Club, Janakpur Cricket Club, Boston Cricket Club Jhapa, Horizon Cricket Club Biratnagar, Virat Cricket Club and Academy Biratnagar, Mills Cricket will be playing in the T20 cricket tournament on knock out basis. He informed that the club is in Biratnagar.

Similarly, 16 teams including Purnia Cricket Club India, Kanpur Cricket Club India, Kathmandu Cricket Club, Siraha Cricket Club, Sunsari-11 Cricket Club, Eastern Cricket Club Biratnagar, Patrick Cricket Club Jhapa and MCCA Biratnagar will also participate.

A cash prize of Rs. 111,000 will be given to the first place winner, Rs. 51,000 to the second place team and a cash prize will be given to the best player in various other categories.
