Seti Provincial Hospital has been providing dialysis treatment services since 2072 BS. For the last three years, this service has been provided in the hospital by a private-sector health organization called ‘Virang Health Care’. The manager of the dialysis treatment service, Deepak Bhatta, said that patients with kidney disease are treated two days a week.
The kidneys excrete the waste that accumulates inside the human body. But when the kidneys do not work, such waste is taken out by a special type of machine. “Dialysis is the service of placing the patient in a machine and treating the disorder in his body when the kidneys are not working,” said manager Bhatta. Dilip Kumar Shrestha, information officer of the hospital, said that Virang Health Care is providing dialysis treatment service in the hospital through the contract as per the policy of the federal government.
“The organization is providing free dialysis treatment to the patients. The cost of the treatment is borne by the government from the government,” said Information Officer Shrestha. Rs 2,500 has been prescribed for dialysis.
