How limitations to movement affected Nepal’s Supreme Court

During lockdowns and self-isolation periods, citizens were deprived from their right to access justice through the countries’ judicial system.

On the matter, Honorable Justice Mr. Tej Bahadur K.C. says “I consider it to be a difficult time for citizens; they had to face many obstructions in relation to their cases and requests being heard by the court.” Honorable Justice is currently serving at the Supreme court of Nepal, Located in Ram Shah Path, Kathmandu from the year 2017 A.D. ( 2073 BS). He has published various articles on the Constitution, Law, Justice, Gender issues and Human Rights.

Due to numerous limitations posed on people’s movement, the court was not able to deliver its primary service to the citizens. That is to resolve the disputes and dispose of the cases.
