The Chamunda Area Development and Conservation Fund has a tradition of holding a rath yatra (chariot trail) of Raktavinayak, Mahankal Bhairav and Chamunda Devi in the Boudhha area of Jorpati of Gokarneshwar and Kathmandu Metropolitan City-6 every year on Chaitra Shukla Ashtami i.e. Chaite Dashain. Bimal Man Shrestha, a member of the fund, said that there is a belief that happiness and peace will prevail in the region following this celebration.
Out of the four Navaratras of the year, Ashwin Shukla Paksha and Chaitra Shukla Paksha Navratra attract a large number of devotees to worship and pay homage in temples across the country, including Chamunda. This year, devotees have visited Guhyeshwari, Maiti Devi, Naxal Bhagwati, Bhadrakali, Kalikasthan, Bijeshwari, Shobha Bhagwati, Raktakali, Shwetkali, Indrayani and other temples in the Pashupati area. There is a temple of Chamunda Devi in Jorpati of Gokarneshwar Municipality-5. The temple attracts crowds of local devotees every day.
