A new mother lost her life due to lack of timely medical intervention  in Pyuthan district today.

Anisha MC, 24, of Jhimruk Rural Municipality-7, died on the way to Butwal this morning, informed Officiating Chief of Pyuthan District Hospital, Khim Pardhe.

Anisha had undergone surgery last Thursday. Another surgery was performed on her after she had health complications. She was referred to a hospital in Butwal. She was being brought to Butwal last night during which she breathed her last at Bhaluwa, shared Pardhe.

The newborn has been doing well and handed over to the family of the deceased. The body of the new mother has been brought to Pyuthan Hospital.
