The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) Sunday reported 78 new cases of coronavirus infection in Nepal. The addition of new cases has taken the country’s COVID-19 tally to 274,143.
As many as 82 patients of COVID-19 have recovered in the past 24 hours. With this, a total of 270,407 persons infected with coronavirus in the country have recovered as of Sunday. At present, the recovery rate stands at 98.7 per cent as per the data released by the MoHP.
Likewise, the death toll from COVID-19 has reached 2,774 with one more death from COVID-19 reported in the past 24 hours. Presently, there are 962 active cases in Nepal.
Meanwhile, 2,162,936 people have undergone the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test.
Likewise, 962 people have been staying in isolation while 68 others in quarantine, the MoHP reported.
Earlier on Saturday, the ministry had reported 81 new cases of coronavirus that had taken the country’s COVID-19 tally to 274,065.
More than 113.89 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus worldwide while at least 2,631,261 people have died from COVID-19, following an outbreak that started in Wuhan, China, in early December, a Reuters tally showed as of 3:06 pm on February 28.
