Sonam Tashi Lama, program coordinator of the Red Panda Network, has been awarded the 2022 Whitley Award for her work in conserving red pandas in Nepal. He has trained 100 civil scientists to help restore the Red Panda’s habitat. Similarly, Red Panda has contributed to eco-tourism to provide income to the local people.
