Nuwakot: A traveler’s paradise

Famous as the ‘City of Nine Hills’, Nuwakot is a part of Bagmati Province that holds historical importance in Nepal history and is located on the bank of Trishuli and Tandi Rivers. The name ‘Nuwakot’ was derived from “Nuwakotta” which means nine forts. It is believed that each of the nine hills in the district have various deities and are said to protect and oversee it. Nuwakot holds many historical and religious sites and the place is also blessed with divine natural beauty.
