Construction of three tunnels to be put out to tender

Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Development of Bagmati Province Rameshwor Phunyal has said that preparation has been made to call tender for the construction of three tunnel routes.

One of the routes connects Hetauda with Kathmandu, the central capital.

During the monitoring of 104-year-old 200-metre tunnel route located on the premises of Churiyamai temple along Hetauda-Birgunj road section, Minister Phunyal shared that budget has been allocated for the construction of tunnel routes — Budhanilkantha and Gokarneshwor-Batuwatal in Kathmandu, and Bhimphedi-Kulekhani Posta Bahadur Bogate.

Minister Phunyal said that the Ministry has been undergoing a legal process to announce the tender for the construction of three tunnel routes and notice would be published within a few days.

The minister directed engineers and technicians to work with honestly to make people of the province assure about development.

Similarly, he also carried out onsite inspection of tunnel route at Hetauda Sub-metropolitan city-15 in Makawanpur.
