Grandson pays homage to Angrita Sherpa

Tenzing Jangbu Sherpa, who just turned 23, accumulated his earnings and climbed Mt Everest to pay homage to his grandfather. Sherpa who has been residing in California, USA with his family works as a motor mechanic while studying.

His grandfather, Angrita Sherpa, was a world famous climber popularly known as Snow Leopard. He had climbed Mt. Everest 10 times without the use of an oxygen cylinder. One year after the death of his grandfather Tenzing reached Everest and paid tribute to him.

Thus, in addition to all the expenses for climbing the mountain, he had to pay 11,000 US dollars as royalty to the government of Nepal. Although he is the grandson of legendary climber Angrita, Tenzing Jangbu is currently a US citizen and had to pay royalties.
