Bad weather halts search for Tara Air aircarft

A plane of Tara Air flying from Pokhara to Jomsom went missing since the morning today. The 9N-AET plane carrying 19 passengers, 2 foreigners, 4 Indian and 13 Nepalese in total, departure Pokhara airport at 9:55 am. The Twin Otter aircraft had made contact in 10:07 am before it went missing.

While a Fishtail Helicopter was sent for the search of the aircraft it had to return back to Jomsom due to the bad weather.

According to a press release from Tara Air, helicopters at Kathmandu, Pokahara and Jomsom airports are on standby for the search and as soon as the weather clears out they will be back on for the search along with Nepal Army, and Nepal Police.
