95 per cent of the people have access to electricity, said Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Executive Director Kulman Ghising. Speaking at a five-day Siddhi Mantra Jap Sadhana program held at Boudha in Kathmandu on Monday, Ghising said that the access to electricity has been increased from 60 per cent to 95 per cent.
However, areas of Karnali are yet to get access to electricity.
He said that NEA has moved ahead with the aim of providing electricity to the people living in remote areas. Ghising said that the central transmission line will be restored in Dolpa, Mugu and Humla as well for easy access.
