Chairperson of Nepal Workers and Peasants' Party, Narayan man Bijukchhe, has said Nepal's art and culture are an integral part of the identity of Nepali citizens.
In his address to a programme at the Bhaktapur Durbar Square on Wednesday, the leader stressed the need of promoting such identity of Nepal and the Nepalis.
He took time to say that cooperatives failed to meet their objectives as they did not invest in the productive sector.
Also speaking at the programme, party central secretary Prem Suwal termed the teachers' agitation against the School Education Bill wrong citing that it is capable of restricting the rights of local levels.
Bhaktapur metropolis mayor Sunil Prajapati said the local government could restore various heritages damaged by the 2015 earthquake on its own.
On the occasion, 22 people were honoured in recognition of their contribution to the preservation of culture.
