Drivers fleeing after an accident in Balaju, Kathmandu have been arrested. Pradip Thapaliya, 29, of Siddhalekh Gaonpalika-4, Dhading, who was absconding in a road accident near Gangahal of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16 on Thursday morning, has been arrested from Dhadingveshi today. Spokesperson of the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Raj Mainali said that the vehicle and its driver were arrested with the help of District Police Office, Dhading. The deceased were identified to be Bikas Tamang, 18, of Rasuwa Kalika Gaonpalika-5 and Durgamaya Thapa, 55, of Jagriti Tol, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-16.
According to Gautam Mishra, Chief of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju, he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj. Mishra said that further investigation is underway from the Metropolitan Police Circle, Balaju.
