Farmer leader Sunder Chaudhary says that since they are busy with farming for months, they do not get to eat sweets and do not meet their relatives.

In Hardhaiva, the Tharu community has a custom of eating more meat. As it is felt that energy is lost while working in agriculture, fish, meat, pakoda, flowers etc. The leader of the Tharu community, Hari Choudhary, says that the celebration of Hardhawa will be continued as it is a ritual connected with the tradition and culture of the Tharu community.

In the following days, the men of the Tharu community take care of the fields for irrigation, while the women manage their time by weaving traditional materials such as dhakia, delia, and fishing.
