Inaugurating a water ATM connected to the hospital premises by the Kathmandu Valley Drinking Water Management Board at a cost of Rs 1 million, Minister of Water Supply Umakant Chaudhary said that now all Nepalis can easily drink pure and clean water. He said that the government has put forward an action plan to provide clean drinking water to every Nepali citizen as Nepal is a country rich in water resources.
Stating that the water ATMs connected to the hospital for the sick and the infirm have made it easy to provide clean drinking water, he said that such water ATMs would be installed in hospitals and health institutions, public places, crowded places, parks and gardens. An arrangement has been made to get 200 milliliters of pure water in a paper cup by dropping Rs. 2 in the water ATM connected to the hospital premises.
