Humla district is facing problems due to a lack of building for the Ayurveda Health Center which was established 28 years ago. Until now, this center has been operating in a rented house. The center has been rented since July 10, 2050 BS.
Chief of the center, Krishnachandra Joshi, said that there were problems in running Ayurveda and Yoga camps due to a lack of building and treatment of patients. Due to lack of space, problems rose in treating the patients even though there was enough space for the necessary health equipment and specialist doctors in the Ayurveda system.
He said that the center could not be expanded as required because the government budget was not enough for salaries, medicines, rent, and other assistance.
The center has been providing treatment services including Panchakarma, Ksharasutra, surgery, homeopathy, and naturopathy. Joshi said that the request of the district parliamentarians and the people's representatives of the villages to purchase land for the building has not been heeded.
