KATHMANDU: The minimum temperature in the Kathmandu Valley has been steadily rising over the past two to three days.
According to Meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar from the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in the valley reached 8.4°C at 5:45 am on Monday.
Yesterday, Sunday, the minimum temperature in the valley was 7.2°C, with a maximum temperature of 17°C.
Meteorologist Manandhar explained, “If the sky remains cloudy at night, the minimum temperature will increase in the morning. Similarly, if it remains cloudy during the day, the maximum temperature will decrease.”
She also indicated that the weather in the Kathmandu Valley is likely to remain cloudy throughout the day today.
“Just like yesterday (Sunday), we can expect no sunshine throughout the day, and it will be a bit cold in the afternoon,” she added.
There is no expectation of rain in Kathmandu today.
“Although the weather has changed due to the influence of the westerly wind, there is no possibility of rain in Kathmandu today,” Manandhar said.
“However, there may be scattered to light rain tomorrow (Tuesday).”
