Services have been started at the health post by arranging for 'MBBS' doctors.
Due to the lack of medical services at the health post in the fort, the local residents had to travel far for treatment. With the start of the service, the need to travel far for treatment has come to an end.
"We have started medical services with the aim of developing the health post as a model in this area", said Tikendraraj Bhatta, the administrative officer of the municipality, "We are looking forward to arrange the necessary materials for the health post."
He said that doctors have been arranged after completing the necessary process of filling up the post. He informed that the medical service has been officially launched from today.
He also said that the municipality is advancing the construction of the building by promoting the concept of a city hospital. In addition, after the completion of the construction of the hospital, additional doctors and necessary health workers will be arranged so that the treatment of complex diseases will be done at the local level.
Machines such as video X-ray, X-ray, endoscopy and other machines were in a state of stagnation in the health post due to lack of skilled manpower. It is said that the tools and equipment which are in a standstill condition will be put into operation with the doctor's arrangement.
In order to guarantee health services to the local residents, in all the 12 wards of the municipality, basic health centers along with health posts are being arranged to provide the necessary health workers.
Officer Bhatta said that emphasis has also been placed on the construction of physical infrastructure. More than 21 health workers are working in permanent, salaried and contract health centers where medical services have been started.
More than 55,000 residents of all 12 wards will benefit from the medical services provided at the health post.
