Night bus parking is allowed only at the new bus park in Gongabu, Kathmandu.
The traffic police, after discussing with the relevant agencies, arranged that the night bus can be parked only at the new bus park. Senior Superintendent of Police Rajendra Prasad Bhatt, Spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, informed that there is a risk of traffic accidents as well as traffic jams due to haphazard parking of night buses.
Vijay Bahadur Swar, President of the National Federation of Transport Entrepreneurs of Nepal, said that the transport sector should be advanced by providing services to the citizens in an easy manner.
Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Lhotse Multi-Purpose Pvt Ltd had entered into an agreement under 'Public-Private Partnership' and more than 2,000 vehicles are parked in the new bus park which was put into operation in Kathmandu Metropolitan City. At present, more than 60 districts of the country are moving vehicles from this bus park.
