The number of people leaving Kathmandu valley for the festive season has increased.
As the Dashain has started, the number of people leaving Kathmandu has skyrocketed. Large crowds of people returning home from Kalanki, Balkhu, Koteshwor, Balaju and other areas have been seen since Monday morning.
In the Kalanki area, the main exit point from Kathmandu, on Monday morning, people, including small children, were seen carrying bags in search of a vehicle to reach their destination. The number of people leaving Kathmandu has increased as those who are out of home due to education, employment and vocational work return to their villages for the celebration of the festival.
