Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today offered his condolences to late centenarian person Satya Mohan Joshi. The PM reached and offered his condolences to mortal remains of Joshi kept at the premises of Lalitpur Metropolitan City at Pulchok in Lalitpur.
Similarly, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, Chairperson of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha also extended their condolences to Joshi.
Culture expert Joshi, 103, died today at KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Gwarko in Lalitpur. As per the agreement with the hospital, his mortal remains would be handed to the hospital for research, said a family source.
Joshi and his spouse signed an agreement with the hospital to donate their bodies to the hospital for research after their death. His mortal remains would be kept at the metropolis until 4 pm today. A 'national honour' on behalf of the state would be given to Joshi, according to Spokesperson for Home Ministry Phanindra Mani Pokharel.
